The 2016 snow season is here and the SMGS Snowsports Program is in full swing.

With cold temperatures, snowmaking guns firing up and a healthy 70cm of natural snow, there’s no better way to start.

Over the past week we have had around 30 of our students commence their winter training programs, most under the support of the ESA. SMGS students are participating in a variety of training programs which include Cross-Country, Alpine, Skiiercross, Boardercross, Slopestyle and Moguls. It was great to get out and see so many SMGS faces enjoying the wonderfully unique environment in which they live. Thanks to all the parents for your help and support over the past week as well as your positive encouragement.

In racing news over the weekend Bentley Walker-Broose gained a 3rd overall in the 5km ‘Cooma Clean out the Cobwebs Race’. Bentley raced in the open age group which included ages from 15 to 80. Bentley should be congratulated for this marvellous effort as he came 1st in the U18 Division.

Looking froward to the Knox/Pymble race tomorrow and Scots and Redlands the following week. Stay tuned for results.
