Year 4 students have been investigating the process of manufacturing products; in this case, from farm to fridge and from cow to cone.
During the week of 30th October, we made ice cream and bread in class, with the students starting by researching the process. First, they researched the ingredients needed, then explored the steps taken to manufacture the products. They enjoyed watching a series of videos on the commercial process of making ice cream and bread. The students then reported their knowledge through drawing diagrams of the bread-making process (farm to fridge) and the ice cream-making process (cow to cone).
Year 4’s experiences culminated in the making of home-made ice cream and bread in class.
