On Tuesday, 10th April, the SMGS Netball team played in the Jindabyne Netball Association’s grand final.  SMGS was triumphant in the Junior Division, defeating their competition, the HotShots, 24-23 in a gripping final. Both teams played with great intensity and sportsmanship as they lifted in their quest to take home the coveted title of season champions. Our SMGS girls had a spread of experience, ranging from Year 8 to Year 12 players. All girls received regular game-time throughout the season and the future looks bright, with many junior players in the team. A stand-out feature of the team was their encouragement for each other, demonstrating support in all circumstances, particularly when under pressure in tight situations.  All the girls can be incredibly proud of the way they played their games during the season. The team remained composed in their grand final, coming from behind to take the title in a great game, and both teams are to be commended for the wonderful way in which to close out the season. Congratulations, girls!
