Snowy Mountains Grammar School’s 2019 Prefects had the opportunity to develop key projects and expand their leadership skills at the Prefect Camp in Canberra last Friday and Saturday.  


As part of the Camp, SMGS Prefects attended the GRIP (Generosity; Responsibility; Integrity; and People) Student Leadership Conference . Throughout the Conference, they were invited to consider what prefect leadership means within the school community, and to workshop a vision and mission statement for their new roles. 


The Prefects were invited to dinner with the SMGS Executive, and the Heads of House. At the dinner, the Prefects had the opportunity to share their ideas and projects, and their passion for the school.


Twelve Year 12 students were elected to lead the SMGS student body for 2019 at the start of Term 4. They are Eve Donnelly and Edward Doeberl (School Captains), Texas Berryman (Academic Captain), Bronte Hely (Arts Captain), Anastasia Bradshaw and Charles Beaton (Sports Captains), Ambrose Hansen (Junior School Captain), Lucy Junor (Boarding Captain), and Joshua McMahon, Saskia Dutch, James Kilpatrick and Jamie Mawkes (House Captains).
