Our Year 2 students are currently undertaking a Coding unit of work. Students have been exploring how computer codes can be written using mathematical skills in patterns. This week, students demonstrated their problem-solving skills by building codes to move an Angry Bird through a series of mazes to catch the “naughty pig”. This lesson gave students the opportunity to describe, follow and represent algorithms to solve problems (ST1-3DP-T Science and Technology K-6 Syllabus 2017).
