The Year 8 STEM students have been learning how to create Stop Motion Animation videos during their lessons this term. Stop Motion Animation is a film making technique that makes inanimate objects appear to move on their own. The students physically manipulate objects in small steps and then individually photograph a series of frames. The photos are then uploaded into a Stop Motion App which plays the series of frames to appear as a movie. The students have enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to make their own movies and have shown a great deal of creativity in developing their storyboards. While the movies still require refinement, they certainly showcase the emerging talent amongst our STEM students.
