Congratulations to the SMGS students selected for Snow Australia’s Emerging Talent Program (ETP) class of 2022! The ETP is designed to identify, support and enhance the development of talented, emerging athletes for progression in the Snow Australia Performance Pathway.
As one of our pillar programs (joining equestrian, mountain biking and aviation), snowsports forms an integral part of our co-curricular programs. All students are encouraged to participate in the winter program, from Kindergarten through to Year 11, and programs cater for all skill levels, from the very beginners through to elite athletes.
Of the number of SMGS students named to the team this year, SMGS Director of Sport, Mr Martin Philpott, said, “What an incredible achievement for these students across a number of disciplines. These students are wonderful ambassadors for the sport and their school, and it is excellent to see their progression through the Snow Australia pathway programs, including their participation in interschools sport, as they pursue their snowsports and academic goals.”
