On a bright and sunny day, K-6 students took to the pool and made waves at the Junior School Swimming Carnival.

Throughout the day, the students displayed exceptional sportsmanship and school spirit, encouraging and cheering on their fellow housemates with every race. The support and encouragement from the Senior School students, staff and parents were also vital in creating a positive and inclusive environment.

A massive congratulations to the winning house, Cascades, which took home the House Shield. It was a closely contested battle, but their determination and hard work paid off in the end. The Spirit Trophy was awarded to Twynam, whose team showed incredible sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the day.

Of course, the individual achievements of the students cannot be overlooked. Well done to this year’s age group champions:

Well done to all the students who participated, regardless of whether they won or not. It takes courage and determination to compete, and they should be proud of themselves for giving it their all.

It was also a day of record-breaking performances, with Addison R setting a new record in the Girls 10 yrs 100m Free, with a time of 1:42:44, and Jack P breaking two records in the Boys 11 yrs 100m Free (1:20:50) and the Boys 11 yrs 50m Backstroke (44.84). Joseph P also set a new record in the Boys 11 yrs 50m Free, with a time of 35.20, while also breaking the record for the Boys 11 yrs 50m Butterfly, with a time of 46:16.

The Junior School Swimming Carnival was a wonderful day, filled with incredible achievements, sportsmanship and school spirit. Congratulations to all the students who participated, and a huge thank you to the staff, Senior School students and parents who made the day possible. We can’t wait to see what next year’s carnival brings!
