The 2019 Redlands Cup will to be held at Thredbo on Monday 15th July 2019.  Information about the event, including the event schedule, can be found on the Relands Cup website:

Start lists, race bibs and course details will be at the Redlands marquee at Valley Terminal.

Entries:

Entries for this event have already been completed by SMGS. The Entry fees will be billed to your school account, There are no refunds for race entry fees.

Transport:

The SMGS 12-Seater bus will be departing school at 7:00 am. Contact Mr Philpott to reserve a seat, seats are limited. ESA students will have their transport organised.

* Please note that all Junior School students must be accompanied by a responsible adult on competition days.

Bib Collection:

Students should meet near the bridge at the Kosciusko Chair ticket office Valley Terminal. SMGS staff will distribute bibs from 7:30am at this location.

There are 3 courses:

Rossignol Race Course

  • Alpine (Division 1 & 2) – 8:15am Course Inspection, 9:00am Race Start
  • Snowboard (Division 1 & 2) – 11:30am Course Inspection, 12:00pm Race Start

Lower World Cup

  • Alpine (Division 4) – 8:15am Course Inspection, 9:00am Race Start
  • Alpine (Division 3) – 11:30am Course Inspection, 12:00pm Race Start

NASTAR Course

  • Alpine (Division 5 & 6) – 8:15am Course Inspection, 9:00am Race Start (Division 6 followed by Division 5)
  • Snowboard (Division 3, 4 & 5) – 11:45 Course Inspection, 12:15pm Race Start

Access to the courses is easy via the Snowgums & Kosciuszko Express chairs which will be open from 8:00am. (race starting time is sharp)

Please Note:

  • The event and courses will be set subject to weather and snow conditions.
  • Each racer will have a reverse order second run.
  • There are four Perpetual Redlands Cups awarded for the fastest individuals: Alpine – boy & girl, and Snowboard – boy & girl. These individuals must be a member of a team that has the minimum number of competing participants.

Uniform:

Students who are competing in the Redlands Cup race are expected to compete in SMGS ski uniform and wear a SMGS ski jacket and school beanie for the presentation.

  • Helmets must be worn.
  • Students in K – 4 may wear their own ski/snowboard clothing.

Presentations:

Presentations will be in the Thredbo Leisure Centre at 4.30 pm (video at 4pm).
