Snowy Mountains Grammar School is very excited to announce its inaugural service-learning and adventure-trekking overseas tour to Cambodia in December 2020. This tour is open to all Senior School students over fourteen years of age (as of December 2020). While the tour will satisfy the requirements of the Adventurous Journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the trip is also available for students who do not participate in the Award Program. SMGS has partnered with Projects Abroad, one of the world’s leading volunteer organisations. Projects Abroad are extremely reputable and established worldwide and will be assisting us from start to finish. The Cambodia tour comprises three elements: Adventure Trekking (Cardamom Mountains), Community Service (Phnom Penh) and Cultural Immersion (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap).

The details of the trip are:

Location: Phnom Penh, Cardamom Mountains, Siem Reap – Cambodia

Dates: Sunday 6 December – Saturday 19 December 2020

Group: Students (older than fourteen years of age) plus two teachers

Cost: between $4,700 and $5,200 per student (depending on student numbers). This includes all meals, accommodation, flights, transportation, insurances and Projects Abroad group leader.
