It is with great excitement that the Board of Snowy Mountains Grammar School announce the return of Mr Andrew Bell as Principal.

Mr Bell will re-join the school community in 2018, having resolved matters which led him to regretfully decline last year’s Board offer of a further period as Principal.

This is an unexpected win for the School, as we had not anticipated the need to find a new Principal at this point in time, and we believed Mr Bell was lost to us and our community. However, we are delighted that circumstances allow him to now accept a renewed offer from the Board.

Upon his return, he will focus on continual improvement in academic standards; further growth of our student well-being and pastoral care; increasing individuality and diversity of opportunities for all students across our Academies Program introduced during his original tenure, and will include the creative and performing arts, musical and our sporting ventures.

Mr Bell will work with the Board and staff to operationalise the 2015 – 2019 Strategic Plan and extend this into a longer horizon. It will be incredibly valuable to have someone as Principal who knows the school so well during this important period of our further development. Following his successful introduction of the Junior School precinct, he will turn his attention to the development of a Secondary School Facilities Master Plan.
