Dear Parents and Students,

As you may be aware, a devastating bushfire has impacted the community of Tathra this past weekend, destroying 69 homes, and damaging many more. In support of those affected, Snowy Mountains Grammar School will be hosting a Mufti Day and Barbecue fundraiser on Friday 23 March.

Please bring a gold coin donation, which will be donated directly to this cause, as well as money for the barbecue, from which the profits will also be donated directly to the cause.

Junior School students will need to wear appropriate sportswear, as it is the ‘Ride Safely to School Day’ and their normal PE lesson.

The barbecue will be available to all Junior and Senior School students. To help with the preparation of food, we ask that Junior School parents write their child’s order, with payment, on a paper bag or envelope and give this to their teachers at the start of the day. Prefects will ensure these orders are delivered to the classrooms at the start of lunch.

COSTS: sausages $2, poppers $1.50.

Rokits canteen will remain open for all lunch and recess orders as usual.

Let’s all showcase how supportive our school can be in this time of need.

Yours sincerely,

Year 12 Leadership team SMGS 2018.
