Position Details

Award: Independent Schools NSW/ACT Standards Model (Teachers) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021.
Salary: Paid in accordance with the Multi Enterprise Agreement 2021.
Term: Permanent Part Time 3 – 4 days, with the possibility of Full Time.
Year Levels: Kindergarten – Year 8

An exciting building program includes a large new learning hub (3 x Science laboratories, Art, D & T, Robotics, Flexible Learning Spaces, 6 x GLA’s, meeting rooms, outdoor learning spaces and more) due for completion in 2023. A sports precinct is also currently under construction.

Due to the growth of enrolments at Snowy Mountains Grammar School, the opportunity to join our dedicated team of educators will commence in January 2023.

Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and inspiring educator to join our team and help drive the future of Music across Years K – 8 in the school. As a member of a modern and dynamic school community, you will grow all aspects of our Music program and promote music participation through to excellence in our students. This role is well-suited for 3 or 4 days a week with the potential of a full time position subject to the overall needs of the School when further considering the unique talents and circumstances of the successful applicant.

To be successful in this role, the applicant must align with the core values and support the Mission of the School, be a self-motivated ongoing learner, be collegial and highly professional, as well as enthusiastically contribute to the wider co-curricular program. SMGS has recently established a Junior School Band and further opportunity exists with leading secondary school bands and ensembles, as well as involvement in School Productions. Some experience playing in or working with bands/ensembles, school or community productions would be well regarded but is not essential. The ability to teach Stage 5 and 6 Music would be well-regarded, however, the role is presently focused on Junior and Middle School.
