Junior School

Our Open Day and Orientation Day is an opportunity to experience the inviting, dynamic and nurturing environment of our Junior School.

All of our existing students progress to their next scholastic year group and work on a modified timetable, providing them with the opportunity to experience the subjects and learning activities of the year they will progress to in 2017.

This is also a wonderful opportunity for students who are considering attending or have already enrolled at SMGS, to attend for a day or part day, become familiar with our routines and to meet and make friends ready for 2017. Our Junior School day will run until 1pm for students in Year 1 and Year 2. Students in Year 3-6 are invited to stay until the end of the school day. Our Kindergarten students will be involved in the day as part of their Let’s Explore transitional program.

Each student who registers to attend will receive a buddy, who will help guide them through the day and will be on hand to help them understand more about our wonderful school. Our visiting students are asked to bring a fruit break, recess and lunch (if staying the day in Years 3-6). Our canteen, Rokits Edibles will be open for recess and lunch orders if preferred.

We want to showcase why our school is a leader in the Monaro and a good choice for 2017. We were excited to be named the 2016 Innovative School of the Year and for one of our teachers to be named NSW Primary Teacher of the Year. We have so many exciting and personalised programs at SMGS and we want to share with you the commitment we have in supporting each child to succeed in their schooling journey.

Senior School

Experience the wonderful subject and classroom teachers, innovative Academies of Excellence and co-curricular programs on offer at SMGS.
