The Transition into Middle School
Throughout Term 1, students take part in activities that establish routine, friendships and success:
- Head of Year 7: The first point of contact for students and parents, providing ongoing guidance and support.
- Middle School Tutor Groups: Daily small-group sessions that foster connection, routine and a sense of belonging from day one.
- Chapels, Assemblies and Year Level Meetings: Regular opportunities to come together, strengthen wellbeing and reflect on our School values of Courage, Authenticity, Respect and Empathy.
- Team-building and Outdoor Education: Early challenges and camps that build confidence, teamwork and independence.
- Family Communication: Regular updates and open channels between families and staff to ensure everyone feels informed and supported.
- Thriving Together: A parent information evening early in Term 1 covering key topics such as navigating Year 7, fostering good decision-making, study routines and the challenges of modern parenting.
- Learning Community Events: Meet-and-greet and welcome events hosted by our P&F and school team in Term 1 and Term 2.
