With a tradition of care and excellence spanning twenty years, Gidgillys Early Education and Care Centre offers more than exceptional Early Years learning and care – the Centre nurtures confident, curious and compassionate little change-makers who can thrive and make a positive difference in our world.
Snowy Mountains Grammar School proudly acquired Gidgillys Early Education and Care Centre in 2023. Our Centre offers an inclusive, inspiring and nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years through long day care and Preschool programs.
At Gidgillys, each child is valued and respected, guided and given agency. Our educators work closely with families to foster the holistic development of young people so they are ready for a smooth step into school life.
Our families often choose to continue their child’s educational journey at Snowy Mountains Grammar School, and we also fully support those families who wish to transition their child into the public education system.
Our Centre has proudly been rated as ‘Exceeding’ under the National Quality Standard by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

How We Learn in Early Childhood
Learning is dynamic and interactive! We give our young learners the freedom to explore, create and develop key skills for the future. We also empower our young people have a voice in their learning and to make decisions.
Each learning space has been thoughtfully designed to promote discovery through play and hands-on experience. With plenty of access to green spaces, we boost physical literacy and nurture our young people’s connection to nature.
Our dedicated educators create an engaging, inclusive and supportive learning environment which embraces the diverse backgrounds and learning styles of our young people.

What We Learn in Early Childhood
Our educational programs for each stage are grounded in contemporary educational research. They foster children’s understanding of their community and the world around them.
Age-appropriate skill development and growth are key focuses of the learning. Our curriculum supports children to build strong interpersonal skills, emotional regulation and resilience as well as their physical literacy so they can become capable, caring individuals.
Jindabyne Preschool Program
The Jindabyne Preschool Program prepares children to confidently step up into school. Real-world experiences and adventures within our local environment help our students meaningfully connect with and contribute to their community.
Educators work closely with Snowy Mountains Grammar School, local teachers and other professionals to ensure our preschoolers are ready for their next step.
Step Up into Junior School
Our preschoolers are even more prepared for Kindergarten through Let’s Explore! – Snowy Mountains Grammar School’s award-winning Kindergarten readiness program. Through fun, hands-on and interactive sessions, our young people (and their parents) develop the tools to confidently start their learning journey in Primary years and beyond.
