Steps to Enrolment

Personal campus tours, Open Days and Information Evenings are the best way for you and your family to meet our staff and students, get a sense of the vibrant learning environment, community and learn more about the co-curricular opportunities on offer at Snowy Mountains Grammar School.

We encourage you to join us at our Term 4 Open Day or to book a personal tour.

Our School accepts applications for enrolment any time after birth. To apply for a place, please complete the online Enrolment Application Form. A non-refundable application fee of $250 (for Australian citizens, permanent and temporary residents). 

Applications are accepted at any time; however, due to demand and to avoid disappointment we suggest that you apply as early as possible so that we can maintain communication for available places.

Before you start the application, please ensure that you have the following documentation ready:

  • Birth certificate
  • Evidence of Australian citizenship or visa (if born overseas)
  • Two most recent full school reports (i.e those with comments by teachers)
  • NAPLAN results (each year completed is desirable, but the most recent is required)
  • Medicare immunisation history statement
  • Court or parenting orders that exist pertaining to the custody, care or guardianship arrangement for the child (if applicable must be provided prior to commencement)
  • Parent(s) visa/proof of citizenship (applicable if both parents were born overseas)
  • Individual learning or support plans (if applicable)
  • Co-curricular programs (if applicable)
  • Specialist assessments and reports pertaining to medical or wellbeing (if applicable)
  • Scholarship application document

The online application can be saved to complete later, using a unique code which is emailed to you once you start the application process.

Upon successful completion of an online application, a confirmation email will be sent to you and your child will be added to our enrolment register appropriate to the intended year of entry. Our Registrar, Mrs Bronwyn Canham will make contact to schedule a student interview.

Interviews are conducted with prospective students and families by the Principal, Dr Andrew Bell and relevant Heads of School. 

Please understand the successful lodgement of an enrolment application, with accompanying enrolment application fee, does not guarantee a place at Snowy Mountains Grammar School.

Following an interview, a formal offer may be issued if a place is available and at the discretion of the School. Once a letter of offer has been received, families can accept a place. 
Prior to joining, parents and students will be provided with opportunities to become familiar with the School, participate in orientation events and form relationships with teachers and fellow students commencing in the same year. We look forward to welcoming you to Snowy Mountains Grammar School.
