“The trip to Cambodia was eye-opening … To be completely immersed in a culture that feels the opposite to yours is not only confronting but also an absolutely beautiful experience … However, there was seriousness to it. Kids no older than ten would smile at me with rotten teeth … kids were crammed into a tiny classroom without windows. It made us appreciate what we had. Working with the kids was a massive highlight. Having fun and learning with them through dancing, singing, drawing, bouncing their first ever handball – their smiles couldn’t get any bigger.”
