Specialist teachers deliver programs in Physical Education, German, Music and Art.
We prioritise strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and 21st century skills critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and resilience.
Wellbeing
Guided by the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework and our bespoke 4 Peaks Program, we focus on safety, positive relationships and wellbeing to give every student the strongest foundation for success in learning and life.
Junior School camps, with a focus on Outdoor Education, further support students in building confidence and meaningful connections.

Our Junior School students are offered diverse co-curricular opportunities. These focus on developing students’ passions, talents and skills in the areas of physical, creative & performing arts and heart & mind. A range of Clubs & Enrichment activities, Drama, Music and Visual Arts groups and ensembles as well as private music tuition, Sport offerings and unique opportunities such as Equestrian, Mountain Bike and Snowsports Academy development programs are available.
Snowsports
Kindergarten to Year 6 students participate in a weekly Snowsports program in Term 3 each year. Transport is provided to and from the resort. Students are placed into small groups based on their age and ability levels.
Swim and Survive Program
A key part of our PDHPE program is the seven-week Swim and Survive Program, a nationally recognised initiative by Royal Life Saving. This program helps students build water confidence and develop essential swimming and water safety skills.
Students receive coaching tailored to their ability, delivered by fully qualified instructors.
Step Up into Junior School
Our youngest learners can start their school journey with confidence through Let’s Explore!—our award-winning Kindergarten readiness program.
Through fun, hands-on and interactive sessions, children (and their parents) build the skills and confidence needed for a smooth transition into Kindergarten and life in our Junior School.
Outside School Hours Care
We want to make sure that the journey at Snowy Mountains Grammar School is a smooth experience for all members of your family. Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is available through Gidgillys Early Learning Centre, providing the highest quality in staffing, care and support.
