Electives Program
Welcome to our Electives Program for students in Years 9 and 10.
The structure and content of our 2020 Elective Program has arisen out of a strong desire to provide the greatest possible flexibility and areas of interest for students. Our program is unique; rather it exceeds customary elective programs by offering the ‘best of both worlds’ of innovation and traditional learning program options.
In 2020, students can choose electives from two pathways: Courses and Academies.
Pathway 1 – Coursework of traditional subject learning
Pathway 2 – Project-based learning through real-world applied learning: Years 9 & 10
We have put considerable thought and energy into our 2020 Elective program so that our students have opportunities to pursue a contemporary and relevant education, as well as have genuine choice. There is no limit to what can be studied or created in the Academies program, and the other course options provide a ready-made curriculum to study.
The pages that follow in the document below provide some further detail and insight into the options available; however, as always, you are most welcome to make further enquiries with those who lead each program.
