Outstanding Results at the 2026 Twilight Redlands Cup

Snowy Mountains Grammar School students delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Twilight Redlands Cup, achieving impressive results across both Alpine and Snowboard events.

Competing under lights in freezing, wet conditions at Friday Flat, Thredbo, our athletes demonstrated resilience, determination and teamwork throughout the evening. From Kindergarten through to our senior students, SMGS competitors consistently featured on the podium, claiming fastest times, division titles and team victories against many of Australia’s leading school Snowsports programs.

Snowboard

SMGS claimed three of the four overall fastest individual awards, with Alex F. named Fastest Boy (Divisions 1–3), Gracie B. crowned Fastest Girl (Divisions 1–3) and Sienna V. recognised as Fastest Junior Girl (Divisions 4–6).

Individual division champions included:

• Division 1 Boys – Alex F.
• Division 1 Girls – Gracie B.
• Division 2 Boys – Jack P.
• Division 2 Girls – Harriet F.
• Division 3 Boys – Charlie M.
• Division 4 Girls – Sienna V.
• Division 5 Boys – Miles V.
• Division 6 Boys – Spencer W.

The strength of the SMGS Snowboard program was also reflected in multiple fastest team titles across the competition.

Alpine

Our Alpine athletes continued the success, with Jack P. taking out Fastest Boy (Divisions 1–3) and Alessia D. named Fastest Girl (Divisions 1–3).

SMGS division champions included:

• Division 1 Girls – Georgette P.
• Division 2 Boys – Jack P.
• Division 2 Girls – Alessia D.
• Division 3 Boys – Banjo B.

Our Alpine teams also secured numerous fastest team titles throughout the evening, highlighting the depth and quality of the School’s Snowsports program.

Beyond the results, the Twilight Redlands Cup provides an opportunity for students to test themselves against some of Australia’s strongest school Snowsports programs. It was fantastic to see our athletes compete with confidence and resilience while supporting one another and proudly representing Snowy Mountains Grammar School in extremely challenging conditions.
