Twenty Consecutive Years of Interschools Success

Snowy Mountains Grammar School has celebrated an outstanding week at the 2026 National Interschools Championships, with students crowned both Primary and Senior Overall Coed National Champions.

The dual championship titles continue an extraordinary record for the School, marking 20 consecutive years in which Snowy Mountains Grammar School has claimed an Interschools championship title.

The conditions provided almost everything across the week, from sunshine and heavy rain to a dusting of snow on the final evening of competition. Through it all, our students displayed determination, resilience and pride in representing their School.

A remarkable 260 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 competed for Snowy Mountains Grammar School. Among them were five Year 12 students lining up for their final Interschools races.

While the results reflect the depth and strength of the School’s Snowsports program, the week was also defined by the unity and sense of belonging within the team. Students supported one another at the start line, cheered from the finish area, helped teammates through challenging moments and proudly wore the School colours.

Head of Sport Sally Bourke said it was particularly special to see students of all ages contributing to the team.

“From Kindergarten to Year 12, every student who stood on that start line contributed to something much bigger than an individual result. They represented our School, supported their teammates and helped create memories that will stay with them for years to come.”

The School extends its sincere thanks to the parents, coaches and staff who made these opportunities possible. They managed early starts, carried skis and snowboards, ensured students were fed, captured special moments and offered encouragement when runs did not go to plan.

The Primary Overall Coed National Champions and Senior Overall Coed National Champions titles are a testament to the talent, commitment and collective spirit of our students, families, coaches and staff.
