SMS Message Notification
If a child is marked as absent and a reason hasn’t already been provided, an SMS message will be sent to the student’s contacts, advising them of the absence and requesting an explanation. The message will look something like this example:
Directly replying to the SMS message will provide a response to administration staff.
Please Note: The number that the SMS message is sent from may change with each notification that is sent. Please respond directly to the message that you receive.
Sentral for Parents App
If you have the Sentral for Parents app installed, you will receive a notification that an unexplained absence has been recorded.
The new unexplained absence will be displayed on the absence screen in the app. Touch the absence to open the details screen:
Enter the details of the absence, including a clear explanation of the absence and click the Submit button:
